Shipping Report: General Rate Increase Cancellation and Peak Season Surcharge Postponed for Eastbound Canada Trade

The General Rate Increase that was set to take effect on September 1st has been cancelled for eastbound Canada trade for Dry and Reefer Cargo carriers from all Far East and Indian Sub-Continent origins to all Canadian destinations. The current rates are valid until September 14th and are subject to the Peak Season Surcharge on September 15th.

As you know, the PSS for Dry and Dangerous Cargo has been postponed to September 15th. The surcharge will be applied by all carriers on the Transpacific Eastbound trade lane on eastbound cargo from all Far East and Indian Sub-Continent origins to all Canadian destinations. The Far East and Indian Sub-Continent includes Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Macau, Malaysia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

The PSS set for September 15th is as follows:

All Canada destinations: (Dry & Dangerous Cargo)

                                                                              Per 20' CTR                           USD360.00
                                                                              Per 40' CTR                           USD400.00
                                                                              Per 40' High Cube CTR      USD450.00
                                                                              Per 45' CTR                           USD506.00
